Where can I find a trusted Peer Treatment Monitor (PTM)?

Updated today

Some Mindbloom clients enjoy using CareLinx or Care.com to find a Peer Treatment Monitor (PTM). These services are relatively inexpensive (~$20-40/hr), offer background-checked professionals, and have thousands of excellent reviews. You’ll need a PTM for about 3 hours during your first session, and 1.5 hours for each following session.

See below for step-by-step instructions to sign up, along with a message template you can copy, personalize, and send to professionals on each platform.

Message template: Peer Treatment Monitor request

Hello,

I’m looking for a companion to be present during my therapy sessions with Mindbloom. While I’ll be in a separate room during the session, Mindbloom requires a Peer Treatment Monitor (PTM) to be in my home during the session to ensure safety and comfort, and to provide a positive presence.

A bit about Mindbloom:

  • Provided over 700,000 at-home ketamine therapy sessions, helping thousands of clients with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders

  • My treatment has been prescribed by a licensed clinician

  • Mindbloom released a study, highlighting the effectiveness and safety of guided at-home ketamine therapy

    • Effectiveness: 62% of clients reported clinically-significant improvements in depression or anxiety, and 28% achieved remission

    • Benefits of Continued Treatment: 84% of clients who experienced significant improvements in an initial program maintained improvements or recovered in a second round of treatment

    • Safety: Fewer than 5% of clients reported side effects

General Responsibilities of a PTM

  • Chat live with my Guide prior to my first session, the Guide will explain the process and provide a contact for you should the need arise

  • Check in on me every 15 minutes

  • Be a supportive, positive presence if I need any support or company during the session

A full breakdown of your responsibilities, and what it means to be a PTM, can be found here.
