Why might a client be conditionally approved for treatment?
Why might a client be conditionally approved for treatment?
Updated over a month ago

A client may be conditionally approved for one of the following reasons:

  1. Medical History: Clients with certain medical histories may receive conditional approval if additional precautions are needed to ensure safety. For instance, a history of heart issues, liver disease, or high blood pressure may require closer monitoring or specific adjustments during treatment.

  2. Medications: Some medications can interact with psychedelic substances and lead to adverse effects. Clients taking such medications may be conditionally approved if they are able to adjust their regimen or pause certain medications before and after treatment.

  3. Mental Health History: Ketamine treatments can be intense and emotionally demanding. Clients with a history of severe mental illness or trauma may be conditionally approved if they are open to receiving extra support or therapy before and after treatment.

  4. Substance Use: Individuals with a history of substance abuse or addiction may still be considered for treatment if they are in recovery and have completed a treatment program. Conditional approval may apply to ensure the treatment aligns with their recovery goals.

Please note that these are just examples of potential reasons for conditional approval. Final approval is determined by our partner clinicians according to Mindbloom’s guidelines and screening criteria.
